Buttplate Marlin model 39. This buttplate was used in the first year of production. It is a reproduction of an original buttplate made from high quality urethane. Your buttplate comes with fitting instructions, as some minor fitting MAY be required, but not always. Dimensions are as follows; Overall Length is 4 1/2 inches; Width at widest point is 1 7/16 inches. From top of plate to the middle of the top screw hole is 5/8 of an inch and bottom of plate to middle of bottom screw hole is 1 1/8 inch. The center to center measurement between the screw holes is 2 3/4 inches (allow slight variance in measurements, because the holes in the buttplates are much larger than the holes in your stock (they are counter sunk screw heads). To attach the plate to your stock, use buttplate screws wp 55 or wp69.
