Buttplate for Marlin models 340,1898, 19, 21, 26. I have also found that some model 42's use this plate. It is a reproduction of an original buttplate made from high quality urethane. Your buttplate comes with fitting instructions, as some minor fitting MAY be required, but not always. Dimensions are as follows; Overall Length is 5 1/16 inches; Width at widest is 1 11/16 inches. From top of plate to the middle of the top screw hole is 5/8 of an inch and bottom of plate to middle of bottom screw hole is 1 5/8 inch. The center to center measurement between the screw holes is 2 3/4 inches (allow slight variance in measurements, because the holes in the buttplates are much larger than the holes in your stock (they are counter sunk screw heads). To attach the plate to your stock, use buttplate screws wp57.
