Buttplate for Winchester model 42 in .410, Japanese mfg in 1990's. If you have an earlier mfg model 42 made prior to 1963 please see part number bp808 It is a reproduction of an original buttplate made from high quality urethane. It has a Winchester logo on the front, and also has a slight curve. Your buttplate comes with fitting instructions, as some minor fitting MAY be required, but not always. Dimensions are as follows; Overall Length is 5 inches; Width at widest point is 1 9/16 inches. The middle of top screw hole to top of buttplate is 3/4 inches. The Middle of bottom screw hole to bottom of buttplate is 1 3/16 inch. The center to center of the screw holes (from middle of holes) is 3 inches (allow slight variance in measurements , because the holes in the buttplates are much larger than the holes in your stock (they are counter sunk screw heads). To attach the plate to your stock, use buttplate screws wp57.
