This is an ORIGINAL 4-step rear sight elevator used on later production lever action Winchester rifles. This elevator is not stamped with patent date and fits 1873, 1886, 1894 (pre and post 64) and 1895. Winchester called this the 1C elevator. It fits into the slot on the sporting rear sights for rifles. The width is 0.10 and the highest adjustment point is at .175-.180 inches.
