Forearm Winchester 62-62A 17 groove flat bottom post war Black Walnut

This is the forearm Winchester model 62-62A post war. On Dec 1st 1948 (around serial number 225,000) Winchester changed the forearm from the 17 groove round to this style with the flat bottom. Between 1949 and 1954 both of the post war styles were used but after 1954 the large style round forearm (part number frm62pst) is rarely seen. It is a high quality black walnut and ALREADY HAS THE euscutcheons pressed in place to protect the wood from the forearm. This forearm is 98 percent done. Minor sanding and finishing is all it will take!
