This is an ORIGINAL forearm for the Winchester model 62-62A post war. On Dec 1st 1948 (around serial number 225,000) Winchester changed the forearm from the 17 groove round to this style with the flat bottom. Between 1949 and 1954 both of the post war styles were used but after 1954 the large style round forearm (part number frm62pst) is rarely seen. It is a high quality black walnut and ALREADY HAS THE euscutcheons pressed in place to protect the wood from the forearm. This forearm is ORIGINAL and in very good condition.
