This is the hammer stirrup Winchester 1866 1873 1876 1886 lever-action rifles and the 1897 and 1893 shotgun. This part attaches to the hammer by pin (original part number wp261-b or p145. The front of the mainspring hooks to the stirrup and puts tension on the hammer.
