This is a High Quality Black walnut Forend / forearm. This has been made specifically for the Original Winchester model 37A shotgun in 12 gauge. The total overall length is 10'' 1/2 inches. 95 percent of the inletting has already been done for you! Every one of these old guns is unique right out of the factory, and years and years of use have given them that much more personality! To make sure that you get the best fit possible, the wood is made a little large and a little tight. This allows you to precisely fit the wood to your metal. I have found that this wood has the best quality and density AND has the LEAST amount of fitting required. The sample pieces of wood in the pictures have had nothing extra done to them to improve their appearance. The wood comes unfinished and most of the time it has already been hand sanded down to 220 grit. (You may see a clear sealer on the open ends of the stocks/forend, this is to help protect the wood while it waits for its finnish.
