Winchester Rifles were lever-action repeating rifles, developed in 1860 from a Henry rifle first manufactured by New Haven Arms Company - which was renamed the Winchester Repeating Arms Company by Oliver Winchester.  In 1883, John Moses Browning began to work with Winchester and famously designed many of the most famous Winchester rifles such as 1886, 1892, 1894, 1895, 1890 and various shotguns. Winchester has led the way in firearm innovation, and many popular models have played significant roles in the history of America and the world.
