Meriden Military/Cadet Rifle

In the eraly 1900s when World War I was brewing, public interest in assembling Boy Scout Troops into mini-military groups was popular.  Members of these groups dressed up in uniform ( like the Boy Scouts) and practice drilling with .22 rifles which looked like miniature army rifles.  This quickly became all the rage throughout America.  The US. "Military" .22's were a very popular "boy toy" for almost two decades with the youthful shooters of early 1900's. Meriden's Military Rifle (also sometimes refered to as Cadet Rifle) was a boy's rifles made to mimic the "military" look and was one of the more popular types with many shooters of the day.
