A very rare Sporting Post ORIGINAL Sight (FRONT) used on the large Stevens 22 rifles such as the Stevens model model 70, Favorite, Ideal, Crackshot and other Stevens 22 rifles that had the larger front dovetail. These guns had a 7/16" (0.4375") front dovetail. These were originally issued Stevens sights with Sporting rear sights with a .358 "post came special order from the factory on this group of Stevens rifles. This unusual base size fits the larger front dovetail.
