This is a buttplate for transition pre-64 model 70 Winchester. .ORIGINAL This buttplate fits Winchester models 70, 88, 100. It has a very slight curve. Your buttplate comes with fitting instructions, as some minor fitting MAY be required, but not always. Dimensions are as follows; Overall Length is 5 1/16 inches; Width at widest point is 1 5/8 inches. From top of plate to middle of top screw hole is 3/4 inch and from bottom of plate to middle of bottom screw hole is 7/8 inch. The center to center measurement between the screw holes is 3 7/16 inches (allow slight variance in measurements, because the holes in the buttplates are much larger than the holes in your stock (they are counter sunk screw heads). To attach the plate to your stock, use buttplate screws wp57.
