This is a version of the No 21A front sight that was placed on Winchester lever-action 1873, 1894, 1892, 1895 rifles at the factory between 1911 and 1926. The earlier number 21A front sight did not have a set screw and came with the choice of material for the blade - these have the blade and set screw.. This sight originally measured .358" high (many are worn and are not quite this high). The sight has a .096" base and and fits into the 3/8 inch dovetail on the top of the Winchester barrel.
