This is an ORIGINAL No 23F Winchester front sight that that has a high blade height of .330 inches. This is a number 23 sight with a thick .09" base and has a patent date of Nov 4 1902 stamped on the base. These sights were placed on all calibers of the Winchester 1873, on the 1886 .50/95 caliber rifles, 1886 old style barrels, Models 47, 74, 77, 43, 55, 72, 75, 88, 100 and 0n pump 1890 rifles when the rifle had either a 22A or 24A rer sight.
