This is an ORIGINAL No 23A Winchester front sight that that has a blade height of .225 inches. This is the early number 23 sight with a thin .06" base and has a patent date of Nov 4 1902. These were sights placed on the Winchester high velocity 1886 rifles and also on the lever-action 1873, 1894, 1892, and pump 1890 rifles.
