This is an ORIGINAL No 23CWinchester front sight that that has a low blade height of .225 inches. This is the early number 23 sight with a medium .075" base and has a patent date of Nov 4 1902 stamped on the base. These were sights placed on the Winchester high velocity 1886 rifles such as .50/95, .50/100, .50/105 and .50/110 Express callibers.
