This is the TYPE 3 firing pin Winchester 1886 lever action rifle. It was installed beginning serial number 110,000 until the end of production. Both this firing pin and the TYPE 2 were used intermittently. The type 3 can be used in place of the type 1 or type 2. If your firing pin is held in place by the firing pin stop pin you need to make sure that you get the firing pin that has the notch in the back of the firing pin (like this one). The middle shaft of the TYPE 3 is turned down slightly.
