This is the ORIGINAL crescent metal buttplate made for the FirST and early SECOND Model Winchester 1890 pump .22. This buttplate has extremely heavy metal construction and is much thicker thatlater production crescent metal buttplates - These are VERY HARD to find. This was also used on the early 1892, 1894, and 1895 sporting rifles and the late production 1886 rifle. The Winchester 1873 large caliber RIFLE used this buttplate after serial number 550,000 (this is considered the short tang buttplate in regards to the 1873). The finish varies on each buttplate because these are original. Use screws wp57 OR original SCREW wp231 WOP.
