This is a Winchester Deluxe plastic buttplate for Models 1897 71 55 and also fits1894 - 1892 - 1886. It has the trademark spur on top. It is a reproduction of an original buttplate made from high quality urethane. Your buttplate comes with fitting instructions, as some minor fitting MAY be required, Dimensions are as follows; Overall Length is 5 1/8 inches; Width at widest point is 1 11/16 inches. From top of plate to center of top screw hole is 1/4 inch and from bottom of plate to center of bottom screw hole is 1 5/16 inches. The Center to center of screw holes is 3 3/8 inches (allow slight variance in measurements, because the holes in the buttplates are much larger than the holes in your stock (they are counter sunk screw heads). To attach the plate to your stock, use buttplate screws wp57.
