This is the type 1 magazine plug used through out production of the 1876. ORIGINAL excellent condition 90% bluing remain on body . Minor handling marks .
FYI (type 2 plugs were also used through out production but did not have a lip and type 3 plugs had a rounded head with screwdriver slot and used a short screw, type 4 was used for all carbines and did not have a screwdriver slot or a hole retaining screw)
