This is AN ORIGINAL  safety catch PIN for the Winchester 1873, 1894 and 1876 lever action rifle. This pin holds the safety bar in the lower tang (also called trigger bar). The trigger bar is disengaged when the lever is pulled all the way up and allows you to fire the rifle.
