This is the screw used to mount the rear sight on the Winchester 1895 carbine and musket. This screw is REAR mounting hole only. FYI: Carbine and musket sights used 2 different mounting screws front and rear. Both are threaded 6-48 but the front screw is 1/16 of an inch longer than the rear, the head diameter is 1/64 smaller and 1/32 taller than the rear screw.
