Tang screw Lower (wood screw) Winchester 1866, 1873, 1876, 1886 and model 85

NEWLY ARRIVED! This is the wood screw lower tang on the Winchester 1866, 1873, 1876, 1886 and model 1885 rifle. It is located at the very back of the lower tang (under the stock and behind the trigger) and screws up into the neck of the stock. An Optical comparative tool was used to create the most precise replica of this lower tang wood screw. This was also the screw used 1903 curved mateal buttplate as it did not go in as far and split the pointed lower stock. Special tooling was required to produce this and the outcome was fantastic -just like the Winchester factory original!
