This is an ORIGINAL buttplate TAKEN FROM a Winchester model 88 (it will not fit the early production guns, so measure carefully before ordering). It has the Winchester trademark in a vertical box, which has a slight curve when laid on a flat surface. Your buttplate comes with fitting instructions, as some minor fitting MAY be required, but not always. Dimensions are as follows; Overall Length is 5 1/8 inches; Width at widest point is 1 5/8inches. From top of plate to center of top screw hole is 13/16 inch and from bottom of plate to center of bottom screw hole is 7/8 inch. Center to center of screw holes is 3 3/8 (allow slight variance in measurements, because the holes in the buttplates are much larger than the holes in your stock (they are counter sunk screw heads). To attach the plate to your stock, use buttplate screws wp57.
