Spring that maintains tension on the finger lever latch on the Winchester 1873 3rd model. On the 1876 This spring was used after serial number 400. (prior to serial number 400 a coil spring was used) On 1873 up to serial number 28,000 a flat spring with curved tip was used on the finger lever latch.
