This is the button magazine plug Winchester model 1894, 1892, 1873 large cal rifles. If you have a rifle (that has the forearm cap--not the carbine with the barrel band )and have a shortened magazine that does not extForearm past the Forearm of the cap this is the magazine plug you should have. The special forearm cap holds this plug in place.
