This is an ORIGINAL sear and safety catch spring from a Winchester 1894 (also called the trigger stop spring). They used this one piece type from serial number 400,000 and up. This spring puts tension simultaneously on the sear and the safety bar (trigger stop). This spring can be used to replace the two separate sear spring and safety catch spring on the older 94s with out any modelification. It is held in place by screw wp50 in the lower tang. This can also be used to increase tension in the 1873 sporting rifle.
